Postpone payments with disaster forbearance
If you reside in an area impacted by a federally-declared disaster, you may qualify for a short-term disaster forbearance. During disaster forbearance, payments due are temporarily postponed; however, interest still accrues.

Please note: Although the FEMA web site lists numerous Federal disaster declarations annually, only those specifically designated for “Individual Assistance” are eligible for relief.
