    Postpone payments with disaster forbearance

    If you reside in an area impacted by a federally-declared disaster, you may qualify for a short-term disaster forbearance. During disaster forbearance, payments due are temporarily postponed; however, interest still accrues.

    Not sure if the impact to your area has been federally declared as a natural disaster? Visit the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) website. Please note: Although the FEMA web site lists numerous Federal disaster declarations annually, only those specifically designated for “Individual Assistance” are eligible for relief. Check back regularly for updates.

    Homeowners who are located in one of the counties under the FEMA disaster declaration, who do not have flood coverage and are not in a required flood zone, may apply to FEMA for assistance at the website.

    Homeowners located outside of the declared area who are seeking financial assistance for home repairs may contact FEMA at the contact number referenced below.

    Homeowners located in the impacted area who have flood insurance are urged to contact their insurance agent or carrier to begin the claim process and/or follow their insurance carrier's initial claim procedures.​
